Straight answers about how Brothh works — for buyers, producers, and the curious.
For buyers
How do I actually buy something from a producer?
You contact the producer directly through their profile — either through Brothh messaging or the contact info they’ve shared. From there, you arrange payment, pickup, or delivery directly with them. Brothh is a directory; we don’t run the checkout.
Who handles shipping or delivery?
The producer does. Every producer sets their own fulfillment — some offer pickup at their farm, studio, or a farmers market, some ship, some deliver locally. You’ll see their options on their profile.
What if something is wrong with my order?
Contact the producer first — they’re usually quick to make it right. Because Brothh isn’t a party to the transaction, we can’t issue refunds or mediate disputes, but we take reports seriously. If you’re having a bad experience, email hello@brothh.com and we’ll look into the listing.
Are producers verified?
Every producer signs up with a real email and agrees to our terms, but Brothh does not currently verify business licenses, certifications, or product claims unless marked by a formal verification badge. Always feel free to ask a producer for details about their practices, certifications, or history.
Can I filter by location?
Yes. You can search by city, state, or zip code, and filter by distance. Most people start with their zip code and expand from there.
Can I filter by category?
Yes. Browse by farm products, baked goods, meat and dairy, pottery, woodworking, fiber arts, and more. You can also combine category and location filters.
Does Brothh cost buyers anything?
No. Browsing, searching, and contacting producers is completely free for buyers. There are no hidden fees.
Do I need an account to browse?
No. You can browse and discover producers without an account. You only need to sign in when you want to save favorites or message a producer directly through Brothh.
Can I leave a review?
Yes — we believe honest feedback helps both buyers and producers. You can leave a review after you’ve connected with a producer. Keep it fair, specific, and based on your own experience.
How do I find producers near me if I live somewhere rural?
Try expanding your search radius. Many producers are willing to ship or meet at farmers markets even if their farm is an hour away. If no one is listed in your area yet, check back — Brothh is growing quickly.
For producers
How much does it cost to list?
Nothing. Listing on Brothh is free forever for producers. No setup fee, no monthly fee, no commissions.
Do I need a business license?
That depends on what you sell and where you live. You are responsible for complying with local, state, and federal rules — business licenses, cottage food laws, meat and dairy regulations, and tax law. Brothh doesn’t verify or enforce this; it’s on you to make sure you’re operating legally.
How do buyers pay me?
However you want. Cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, Square, Stripe, PayPal, invoice — whatever works for your business. Brothh doesn’t process payments, so you keep 100% of every sale.
What about food safety?
Food safety is your responsibility. If you sell edible goods, you need to follow the food safety rules that apply to your products and state — cottage food laws, commercial kitchen requirements, meat and poultry rules, labeling, and so on. Brothh does not inspect, approve, or guarantee any food product.
Can I deliver to anywhere?
You decide. Some producers do local pickup only, others deliver within their county, others ship nationwide. Set it up however makes sense for you and describe it clearly on your profile so buyers know what to expect.
How many products can I list?
As many as you want. Add seasonal produce, weekly baked goods, or a full catalog of handmade pieces.
Can I update prices or availability any time?
Yes. Log into your dashboard and edit products, prices, photos, and stock whenever you need to. Changes go live immediately.
Does Brothh take a commission?
No. Not now, not at launch, not planned. Brothh is free for producers to list. We’ll eventually offer optional paid promotion for producers who want extra visibility, but the base listing is always free.
Can I import products from another platform?
Not yet — bulk import is on the roadmap. For now, you’ll add products through your dashboard. Most producers get their full catalog up in an afternoon.
Who owns my photos and content?
You do. You keep full ownership of every photo, description, and story you upload. You grant Brothh a license to display them on your profile — that’s it. See our Terms of Service for the details.

I’m not getting emails from Brothh. What do I do?

About the platform
Who owns Brothh?
Brothh is built and operated by Otesse, an independent company focused on tools that connect people to the work around them.
How does Brothh make money if everything is free?
At launch, Brothh is free for everyone. Our plan is to introduce optional paid promotion (featured placements, boosted listings) for producers who want extra visibility. We will never charge commissions on producer sales and we will never sell your data.
Is Brothh a marketplace?
No. Brothh is a directory. We help buyers find producers; we don’t sit between them. No checkout, no escrow, no shopping cart we run, no commission on your sale.
Is Brothh in my area?
Brothh is a national directory and we have producers signing up across the country. Coverage grows every week — if you don’t see producers near you today, check back soon, or share Brothh with a maker you love so they can list.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. The Brothh website works well on phones and tablets, and we’re focused on making the web experience great before we build native apps.
Still have a question?
We read every message and respond within 24–48 hours.
